What Really Matters

When one of my dear friends found out she was expecting her third child, I looked forward to the prospect of what I knew would be a beautiful maternity session. Traditionally, these sessions are a wonderful time to focus on the upcoming arrival of the sweet new one and all of the little details surrounding their soon to be appearance. However, Emily wanted pictures that took the opportunity to celebrate the family that would soon be welcoming little Stella into their midst. What a delight. And if these pictures are any indication, Stella is going to be surrounded by a lot of laughter and love. Enjoy!

When I met Amber, I thought she suited her name perfectly. Kind-hearted and warm, a bit shy and very pleasant, with a constant light in her eyes. I think the pictures will speak for themselves. Scott

Senior pictures are always enjoyable for me, but it is a special treat when I actually know the person I am photographing. Scott's parents are dear friends of ours, so I was excited when they called up to schedule an appointment with me. There is nothing to put one at ease more quickly than the presence of good friends, so this photo shoot felt easy, breezy and well, fun! Sometimes I still have to pinch myself to believe that my job is to interact with and enjoy people as I capture a small piece of their story! So, Scott & fam, thanks for letting me capture a small piece of yours...enjoy!

Celebrate!

Photographing seniors is so much fun! They have plugged away at school for the past 12 years, and are about to cross a major milestone in the world of learning - which also means they are also ready to kick back and celebrate a little bit in their pictures! Bailey brought along her best friend since grade school to hang out for her senior photo shoot, and we had a lot of fun making our way around Riverfront Park. Talking and joking and almost forgetting to take pictures - well okay, maybe not that last part. And what better place to end a warm summer shoot than smack dab in the middle of the fountain.
