It is always a wonderful feeling when your first impression (a good one) follows through in action. This past Thursday, after 2 other dates were rained out, I finally was able to do my photo shoot with Monte and Kelly Tareski of Gardenstone/Cascading Creations. What an incredible couple! They are kind, sweet, funny and genuine...and obviously in love with each other. If you live in the Spokane/Cheney/Airway Heights area, you should look their shop up...you will find wonderful treasures but you may also find new friends! Here is your sneak peek...enjoy!

I went to college on the east coast - Massachusetts, to be specific. And the most common comment that I would hear regarding Washington was "oh, doesn't it rain a lot there". Usually, I would smile and explain that it rains a lot in Western Washington, but I was from Eastern Washington. However, after the month(s?) we have been having, I think I would just have to say yes, yes it does! Meet my friend Kelly - we have been so excited for her upcoming photo shoot to promote her wonderful business, Gardenstone, since first being introduced to each other two months ago. But it just keeps raining. Which is fabulous for many things, but not for the particular photo shoot we have planned. However, enough is enough. One day, instead of canceling (which we did reschedule the "real" shoot- look for it up and coming in a few weeks!!!) we decided...where there is rain...jump in the puddles! So much fun! Kelly even managed to rope her son and daughter-in-law into our little defiant photo shoot! People who can enjoy what life hands them add so much to this world...in evidence of this, here is a sneak peek...enjoy!

I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing this precious little one, Carsten, a few days back now. His mom and I went to highschool together "back in the day". It is so rewarding to reconnect with an old friend and see the amazing miracle that has become part of her life. So hear is a sneak peek to enjoy, and the rest are in the mail!
Once again, I had the privilege (in between rain showers, of course!) to enjoy a great photo session with the girls from Tiny Belles Boutique. It has been fun watching a small local business turn into a national etsy success story, with features on The TomKat studio and an upcoming article in Northwest Woman Magazine (with pictures by yours truly). Continued success, ladies. I am already looking forward to our Fall photo shoot!
