Perfect love sometimes does not come until the first grandchild. ~Welsh Proverb
A grandparent photo shoot for a Christmas gift? I was excited to be a part of such a wonderful plan! However, with all of the rain we have been having, I was a little nervous our plans might be thwarted. Not to worry! After drab skies all week, the clouds parted long enough to spend a perfect afternoon capturing some beautiful moments - watching Sam and Lucy's eyes light up each time their grandparents spoke to them- it is clear they adore them...and I am pretty certain the feeling is mutual! Merry Christmas to Grandma and Grandpa from Sam and Lucy - here is a sneak peek with many more to come! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Margaret!
*I cannot believe it has already been a year since I first met little Margaret and took her newborn pictures. I was thrilled when her parents asked me to take her one year pictures as well - it is so rewarding to grow with families - to see all of their changes and accomplishments throughout the years. I think it is the ongoing relationship that I get to have with many of my clients that I enjoy so much. There is nothing more rewarding than getting to capture a bit of who a person really is, especially when that little person is such an itty bitty person... enjoy!
P.S. Did I mention it was cold outside? It was COLD! This little girl was a champ!

Perfect Number Seven
I first met Jill when I was still working an 8-5 job and photography was something that I did in my 'free' time, on the side. We clicked almost immediately, and while we both eventually moved on to other places (mine obviously being photography) we have kept in touch and maintained a kindred friendship throughout the years. I was so excited to be the one to take her wedding pictures when she met & married a wonderful man a couple of years ago, and the privilege continued when I met up with them this past weekend to capture family pictures for their home. This family rocks! Thank you Jill and Toby, for letting me share in your lives, and for choosing me to capture a small sliver of it. You guys are awesome!

A Little Woodland Fairy
Part of my job description as photographer is searching for Fairy Dust. It is true. Plain and simple. And my sidekick for the day came incognito as a sweet little purple woodland sprite herself, so I felt certain today would be the day we would finally catch one! But it was not to be. We did, however, spot 2 deer, several squirrels and many little sparkles that we are certain were left behind by the good fairy people to tease us. Oh yes, and we managed to capture a few fun shots while we were at it...enjoy!

A Little Last Minute, A Whole Lot of Fun!
We slipped these senior pictures in 'just under the gun'. Taken on Monday, processed on Tuesday, decided on Wednesday, and off to the yearbook on Thursday. But all's well that ends well. It was fun, and here are a few of my favs.
