Sometimes I have to rub my eyes and blink a few times to realize that this is all real. That I do have a two sweet little girls, and a fun husband, and a house and a cat and a dog and... and that this is really my job. That I get paid to meet fabulous people and take fabulous pictures...like this girl. Kerri was a sweetheart, and her mom was quite a bit of fun, too. Mom originally thought she would drop off her daughter and go for a run, but she stayed to watch a few pictures, and ended up having too much fun to go for a run. I am glad- I enjoyed my evening with these two immensely, and from the way the pictures turned out, I am pretty sure Kerri did, too. She is beautiful. Enjoy!

All Grown Up
Sunday was a very sweet photo shoot for me, namely because I was able to take senior pictures for my cousin Shelby. One of my favorite memories is visiting Shels and her family when she was only 2 years old...mainly because she would not leave my side the whole visit, except to dance around in nothing but a pink ballet tutu and douse her big sister with the water hose! I tried to find a picture from that day, but (lucky for you, Shels!) all of our pictures are still boxed from the move so I will have to post this with no 'before' and 'after' picture. At the risk of sounding sappy, I will say this: Shelby- I am so pleased with the young woman you have become...continue to love God and pursue after His ways - many adventures lie ahead! Enjoy them!

Fun at Finch
I met up with this family at Finch Arboretum. Originally I talked with Patti about taking her son Connor's senior pictures (to be posted soon). Then she asked about family portraits. It turns out it had been years since they have had an 'official' family picture taken. All I can say is, I am so happy I was the one who was blessed enough to finally get to take them. This is a great family and it was fun to spend an evening chronicling a bit of their lives! If you enjoy looking at them even half as much as I enjoyed taking them, you are in for a treat! Enjoy...

April in August
This photo shoot was a blast. April is a fun senior who was hoping for a variety of different pictures to reflect that - she even brought her favorite winter hat to wear, even though it was 90+ degrees out. I love it- and I feel pretty confident she will love the results. Here is a sneak peak at just a few...

Two Too Cute Tutus and a Sprinkle of Fairy Dust
I have been intending to start this blog for a very long time, and finally decided there was (truly) no better time to start than with this particular photo shoot. I first met Maegan when she bid on a photo package that I had donated to a local fundraiser. Maegan is amazingly fun and creative - and after our photo shoot with her and her little girl, she introduced me to the world of blogging and digital scrapbooking. Three years later, and I again had the privilege of photographing Maegan with her two darlings, Zoe and Eden. What a way to spend my morning...roaming around a beautiful garden and looking for sprinkles of fairy dust- and thank you, Zoe for the splendid idea. From now on, I am keeping sparkly glitter in my camera bag for just such an occasion - who knows, maybe we will bump into one along the way! Enjoy...
