Michael

Photographing Michael was a race against the clock - he had time trials out in Cheney the day of our photo shoot, then had to shower, change, and make it out Riverside State Park (great location, by the way) before the autumn light had disappeared. Despite having to move more quickly than usual, this photo session was very enjoyable. Michael was a very relaxed, easy going guy who was happy to go along with my ideas and even toss in a few of his own. Perfect. Here is a sneak peek for you and your family to enjoy- the rest are on their way!

A Run in the Park

Emily is a sweet girl...and an amazing athlete. I can attest to this from personal experience. She really wanted some pictures by water - any water would do - and since we were at Manito, I figured we would grab some in front of the fountain at that 'magic hour' (which is really minutes) before sunset...fast forward through a blast of a photo shoot, where the photographer (that would be me) loses track of time because we are having so much fun, and realizes that the sneaky sun is about to set...and we sprint (well, actually I , huff, puff, wheeze along...she more sails through the air in a graceful sprint!) for the fountain...you cannot even tell from the pictures that moments before she was running. The girl looked as beautiful as ever! Too bad there is not a picture of me to compare it with. Let us just say that on a positive note, I had pleasantly 'rosy' cheeks! So here are some wonderful pictures of a wonderful girl...enjoy!

le entourage

Meet Connor. I had a great time shooting his senior pictures - he is a really solid guy, and a pretty great sport, too. His whole family came down to the shoot to meet up and hang out with some friends while we did the pictures...I joked that I had never taken pictures of someone with an entire entourage behind him. But he took it all in stride, and we even managed to grab a few pictures of his sisters hiding behind trees and trying to distract him. Overall, a light hearted, fun photo shoot with some awesome pictures to top it off. Enjoy...

Inside-Out

One thing that I really enjoy about my job are all of the people that I get to meet- people fascinate me, and it is so fun to set about capturing a small piece of who that person is. McKenna was a joy to photograph, mainly because she seemed to have no idea just how beautiful she was, both inside and out. Beneath the shy outer demeanor, her very spirit just eminated genuine kindness and warmth. I hope I was able to capture just a bit of that warmth in these pictures...I think I was. Enjoy...

Leila

Originally, Leila and I had been scheduled for a different day, but because of some nasty bug that I caught, we had to reschedule. I am so happy we did- the weather was perfect and the light was gorgeous...nature did all the work in bringing out this girl's amazing golden brown eyes! I just had to be there to capture it. During the photo shoot, I could not put my finger on who she reminded me of, but when I was processing the pictures it clicked- Natalie Portman. Except I think that Natalie Portman could only wish she had Leila's 'serious face' - it is something fierce. So Leila, here is a sneak peek at your senior pictures- goodness knows you have had to wait long enough! Enjoy!
